Burr Boy

3 p.m. A young boy walks into the brush of the field at mile 1.3 and emerges with half his shirt covered in rag weed and burdock burrs. His father kneels and patiently begins to pull them off one at a time. Burrs of the burdock plant were one of the inspirations for Velcro.
